Trinity Scholars

The Trinity Scholarships were established in 1984 through the generosity of distinguished Duke alumni to honor Duke’s origins as Trinity College in Randolph County, North Carolina. These scholarships are awarded on a rotating basis to some of the most gifted students residing within specific geographic areas of North and South Carolina. Duke has created the Trinity Scholarships with the support of its North Carolinian alumni to attract the finest students from its home state. Today, scholarships are awarded from thirteen endowments, and fifty-eight Trinity Scholars have graduated from Duke.
