What Makes a University Scholar?

The University Scholars Program is dedicated to fostering interdisciplinarity throughout Duke University's varied fields of study, service, and extracurricular activities and does so by attracting undergraduate, graduate, and professional students who are as talented as they are creative, who are as well-rounded as they are attuned to the details of their scholarly work, and who are as hard working as they are fun.

The University Scholars Program

Stimulating intellectual and social interaction among these various groups of people is the core of the University Scholars Program

By providing generous financial aid support to its scholars, and an environment conducive to interdisciplinary learning, the University Scholars Program encourages the highest levels of creativity and originality.
